Re: Karma?
Can someone explain to me why I would have to pick a side?
Thinking a journalist did a good job, even if he writes (or in this case, wrote) for a kinda shitty publication, means I've got to be a Democrat and have to abandon my libertarian ways?
If this is true, do I automatically have to go the progressive Democrat way? Or can I be a blue dog? Can I go with other parties, but include some sort of a pseudo-anarchist bent?

I worked as a movie projectionist with a guy who kept his T.Lords stash hidden up in the catwalk above the theater to avoid confiscation/prosecution. Sounds far fetched but even a meter maid could identify him at a glance as a candidate for no-knock warrant to seize illegal porno.Kazuya Mishima wrote:This thread got pissy.
BTW, I'm looking for some films starring this lovely lady below. There are only three in her broad portfolio of work that are actually legal to own. I may or may not be seeking films from the rest of her fine body of work due to their illegal nature. Please draw your own conclusions and email me at "lordoftraci@pedovanfapper.org".
VHS tapes are accepted as transferring these movies that may or may not be legal to a digital medium could possibly get one 40 years in prison for doing something that you and I are both agreeing that we are not doing.
Srsly, holler at a brother.

Anyone with a shred of independence talks shit about his boss. That includes the military, which is staffed with human beings, not Robots from The Future. For example, during WWII, there was jealousy & backbiting among the Allied leadership.
Hastings wormed his way into McChrystal's confidence and McChrystal stupidly ran his mouth. A nothing story, worthy of no particular notice, accomplished through a betrayal of trust. A journalistic Pet Rock that accomplished...what? The career end of a talented General.
Pardon me if I don't mourn his passing.

Nope, sorry. He and his staff shot off their mouths and this is the result. Would have happened with ny sitting President. As much as I thought he was a wonderful leader and an inspirational individual, maybe even the second coming of christ, he put his foot in his mouth and obama put his foot in his ass.Yes Karma, this turd got an effective general removed from a battlefield command

Fuucckkk. I'm afraid to respond to anything anymore for fear of getting the shit kicked out of me or embarrassed that I don't make enough money.
The world needs more people willing to ask questions and dig and probe and not be awed by the supposed greatness they might be in company with. I was disappointed in what happened to McChrystal but I was even more disappointed that a man with so much experience and education would so easily fuck up like that. That being said, in my professional life I have to deal with reporters on occasion and I have to constantly remind myself to stay on the clock and not get loose lipped. I could see how this "imbedded" shit could get a man to relax and accept a reporter in their midst even though the reporter may not have their best interests in mind. Moral of the story: keep your game tight at all fucking times.

This is very true, and lost on many people, but it becomes especially true when you're in such a high leadership position, in the US Military, no less.Shapecharge wrote:Moral of the story: keep your game tight at all fucking times.
People in his position don't get second chances for slip ups the same way someone on the bottom would, and for good reason.

Anyone know what really happened?
I mean, c'mon, dude takes out a spec ops badass like McChrystal and dies 3 years later in a car crash in LA. I'm not buying it.
Any of you ex rangers want to tell us anything?
