Listen...some @fitters are perfectly fine (okay not perfectly...some clear disconnects with good sense).

But no way anyone reasonable wants to watch their adult friends throw balls, run slow, do burpees, and flail around on some monkey bars.

I am sensing that Couch is slowly chipping away at the fabric of life itself and it is upsetting me in these woeful times of drug-free life.

The arrogance of these turds with heads is amazing. The stream of broken bodies and folks ending up in hospitals due to just plain stupid programming is appalling to me. There are some smart folks doing @fit and some boxes are fine, but the HQ and the true believers are flat out dangerous.

And if the Social media @fit team is reading this, make my day and come by. PM me for the address. Sadly, i think they stay clear of IGx.

There appears to be. Wasn't "CJ Kim" one of the ones they went after. They mailed a package to his boss?

"The Scientology of Exercise" label seems more fitting than ever. For a bunch of 'hard' dudes and dudettes, they have tremendously thin skin. Wouldn't the truly elite be able to put on their big-boy pants and shrug this nonsense off?

I put a big rant on my FB yesterday and am gleefully awaiting a SEAL to come HAHO upon my pool deck.

" So they used a former SEAL, who now follows a hobbled drunk fatass who bilks money from idiots writing workouts he cant even do, while banging affiliates wives.

I have the up most respect for the shooting military and especially Spec Ops types but having been mentored in Martial arts ( and more) by a SF vet, I have trained H2H with a few high speed types. Some are great at it, some not so much and all are human beings.

(I have an Uncle who was a Force Recon Marine, got out and then joined the Army and went SF. So believe me I pretty much idolise these guys and would have loved the chance to try and be one but none of the ones I know respect you if you act a pussy if they woof.)

Most I've met are great people, some are very closed off but mean nothing by it (some of the shit they have seen and done might make one a bit withdrawn.) and some are complete dick waving assholes!

They have to train so many skills that hand to hand is but one of many. Most have less hand to hand then a 2 year martial artist. Many, many, many study under civilian instructors (as my Sempai, some of his guys and a lot of Marines did where I got my Shodan to Yondan)

The man that founded the USMCMAP program, a friend and comrade of my late Sempai once told me that military service did not mean you were necessarily a better hand to hand fighter and that the man he considered his Sensei never served but he considered him deadly as Hell.

So unless he was going to HAHO out of the sun, bring his HK-416, a squad of buddies and attack me in my pool he can balance a rubber ball on his nose and smack his flippers and go Sleep, Eat, And Lift.

I'd thank him for his service to his country but remind him there is this thing he swore an oath to that says "Freedom of Speech and Expression" are something he was sworn to protect and it's something I am more than willing to fight over myself, if I was the dude who ran Ben Smith's Dad.

Some of us were nicely told to get fucked by the military because of standards they would look the other way on in WW2. Being a civy does not mean you've shaved your nuts, put your dick between your legs and learned to cluck.

Smart warriors know little things like a Trident don't make you Superman.

( "A 12 year ol with a gun can kill an Operator and have. Underestimate no one!" - Col James Tirey)

Nyung Giap, commanding general of the Veit Min and NVA was a history teacher, Henry Knox was a bookseller, Billy the Kidd killed many a combat vet as a teenager and many of the people who fought to expand this nation never served in an organised military or even a militia. The Provisional Irish Republican Army killed a lot of well trained and brave British troops, more than the Brits killed of them and some they killed were 22SAS and SBS, considered by many in other Special Forces groups to be the finest operators in the World.

Oh and Bruce Lee was 4F.

No disrespect towards my veteran friends but fuck that Squid.

It's not like he's a Marine or something. ;-) "

And in response, one Operator said : "As an operator I'll say it. Fuck this squid and fuck Crossfit. They are the biggest bunch of degenerate assholes on the planet."

And then a Navy man added "If Castro wants to scare somebody, he should post his DL video. Not sure i can contain my terror as i await their call."

LOL!

In general, the more the gym owner/trainers are connected to HQ and their culture, the worse it gets for the client after about a year. The less nut swinging the trainer and owner are and the more connected to the client they are via out of the gym friendship, the measurable drop in adherence to @fit methodology results.

Have several examples in mind but don't want to ruin their reputation so i will confine my example to my brother and sister in law. They are both certified @fit trainers but run a gym at their house. They train only folks they know or who come via word of mouth. They stay busy since this is a part time gig but a lot of clients who all become friends.

They like the @fit moves, and the general combinations of rowing, running, oly, cals, KBs, etc. We have had many year long conversations on my views and he uses "Consistent Winning" as a basis and has utilized it in the team sports he coaches. Bottom line is they push people once in a while but have lots of days where they accumulate training load without pushing into grinds or making sweat angels. Every day is not a PR day except for newbies. Friends don't make friends puke. They have deload weeks where they focus on cleaning up technique. In other words they are aiming for slow and safe improvement and not the Hipster "Poppas got a brand new bag" addiction of the first year trainee.

Nice way to pay homage to your pregnant wife is to use her same workout weight. Impressive.

In some circles it's considered an privilege....no...an honor to have your genital wart ridden level one trainer knock up your wife while deployed.
