Should of been utilizing the bulletproof vest during more workouts. This is obviously.

With 8 people working out, you'd think there would have been at least 4 cameras going when this happened.

Second gym owner murdered? That's crazy.
One of the downsides of the Internet is that it allows like-minded people to form communities, and sometimes those communities are stupid.

Early speculative, irresponsible guessing. Was it:

(A) He was banging the chick of someone he should not have been?
(B) Drug related
(C) Owed people money from starting his box
(D) Glassassination

Well, not really funny at all. Murder, for whatever reason, isn't funny. Either a person is driven to it by extreme circumstances or a person is cut down for reasons that are not the slightest bit justifiable. Bad circumstances no matter what.

Find something else to gawk at.

I clicked the article and expected a crossfit person to just be in the wrong place at the wrong time, like, "Crossfit owner dies in restaurant shooting" or something.

Walk in, everybody down, shoot guy twice, get in getaway car and leave. That's pretty fucking cold, man.

Shit's fucked up.

+1 gajillion. Even if "someone has it coming", I don't tend to be of the mind that it's a good thing to celebrate.

I do wonder though... what are the odds that more than one CF gym owner would get murdered? I mean, this one was gangster style. Dude walks in, tells everyone to get down, plugs the gym owner, walks out to a waiting getaway car.

Yikes. That doesn't sound like someone who was upset that another dude was banging his wife or girlfriend.

Winter Garden has a higher than average crime rate, but not like Detroit or anything.

It was a cold, premeditated murder.

“constantly varied, high-intensity functional movement.”
Until you vary your way into a high intensity round. And why didn't the trainer use his world class athleticism to catch and subdue the miscreant? Maybe if the shooter jumped onto 24 inch boxes for 2 mins or rowed less than 400M or kipped his way onto he roof or if they had a basket of softballs by the door to throw at the bad guy.

The only place less safe than a gun free zone is @fit box with a fleet of douchebaggery . Unless they have softballs.

CrossFit gym-slaying victim survived October gunfire

http://www.orlandosentinel.com/news/loc ... 0631.story
Ten months before Richard Millsap's slaying inside his Winter Garden CrossFit gym, he narrowly escaped injury when a rash of bullets struck his car, law-enforcement records show.

As Millsap was driving on Pine Hills Road on Oct. 14, a man who had tailed him from a basketball game at Barnett Park pulled up beside his Nissan Maxima and squeezed off several rounds, Millsap told deputies.

One bullet flew through his rear passenger window and was lodged in the left passenger door, another struck the right rear door and a third hit the rear panel on Millsap's sedan, according to an Orange County Sheriff's Office report.

Millsap had no enemies and no idea who would want to shoot him, he told investigators. No one was ever arrested.

Here's the sketch the police released of the shooter, looks to me like pretty much every other nigger.

From the article on this page a little more information about Milsap, roid rage?
Millsap was arrested in April 2011 and charged by Orlando police with battery and aggravated battery for allegedly punching a man in a pizza restaurant and for punching a uniformed security officer.

I've been following the little bit of information that is being released on the shooting in Fla.
Wouldn't you think that CF HQ, like any other company, would loosen the purse strings a little and offer a reward for information that leads to the apprehension of the shooter of one of their valued affiliates ?

Why does it seem like they stick their head in the sand every time something like this happens (murder, suicide, death in a box) ? Oh that's right, the box owners are independent business people. There's no real relationship other than IP and money.

The only thing I've seen so far is other boxes planning to "honor" the deceased with a special "WOD".
