Their civil rights abuses and depravity know no bounds. If only a progressive Savior was elected; he'd solve poverty, pay peoples mortgages, end all wars, solve global warming and end civil rights abuses. He'd ride in on a rainbow unicorn, give a bitch'n speech, everyone would smoke free government canabis and all would be well in the Universe.

I think his post was more rhetorical in-nature. I doubt he or anybody else would be shocked by this. Many Americans railed against Dubbs regarding the whole Patriot Act thing, then voted for "CHANGE" and, lo-and-behold, not only did nothing change, but things got a little shittier. I take the post to mean that he was saying "Hey, you bitched about Bush, but oh look- Barry is doing the same shit- shocker!" and we can all have a laugh.

As for you, and your "you lot," comment ... Are you American? Do you live in America? Because in spite of our National problems, it's still a pretty damn fine country to live in and despite what Europeans might think, there are conscious citizens here earning a good living and living good lives here; folks who contribute and try to cast intelligent votes. And though many of our elected officials are assholes, they haven't managed to completely erode the foundation of what our forefathers built, and we're working to keep that from happening. And until someone has lived here and participated, their opinion is worth next to nothing.
