Aw shit. Some marathon swimmers who tracked Nyad by gps, say that her speed spiked from 1.5 mph to almost 4 mph after 27 hours in the water for a period of hours. Then as she approached Key West it dropped back to 1.5 mph. They're claiming a favorable current.
