Wish they said where they were caught. Alligator hunting in Mississippi used to be restricted to the Pearl River District/Ross Barnett reservoir outside of Jackson. I suspect one of these might have been caught closer to the coast. I know they pulled a 700# bull out of the reservoir last year, so these numbers don't surprise me.

One source says the Mississippi River and caught by a guy from Hattiesburg.

Hmmmmm, Mississippi River is on the opposite side of the state from Hattiesburg. Would have been ample gator hunting down near the coast, or up the road in Jackson on the Pearl.
