Somalia is such a shit hole. I'm happy the au, Kenya and Ethiopia have handled a fair amount of shit there. What role do we still play there? That is, if anyone knows. I'm rusty on Somalia.

The United State's role in "lending a hand" in the situation in Somalia has, for all intents and purposes, been swept under the rug, seems to me.

It's like a "big project" at work. Not "Big Project" with a capital "B", mind you, not hugely mission-critical, but big enough to warrant a team with a lead and lots of interaction with middle and upper management at the outset. And as time goes by, middle and upper managers are replaced, the drones slack off, "Status Meetings" dwindle and before you know it, everybody's attention is elsewhere on "more important matters," and it just kind of ... Gets forgotten about.

That's what Somalia was like.
