Good enough to drink straight up or are you mixing?
I thought it was supposed to come in a bright yellow label. That is what I saw on this thread earlier. But the bottle I bought comes in that slight off yellow label. It says "Kentucky Straight Rye Whiskey."
When I went to get a photo (confession. I just pull photos off the internet), some had the the bright yellow label and others had this label.
I put either a bit of water or ice in it. It is surprisingly smooth. I am having some right now.
(Alesmith) These have been reviewed well so I had to try one. Nice sipping brew, sweet caramel toffee type belgian strong. ba reviews note "liquid candy" and I can't diasgree. No funkiness or sour notes which makes it seem less than complex to me but still a good beer. $10.50 for a 750 in socal is pretty cheap too.
This stuff is just awesome for chillin beers. I put together a couple Target bookshelves and a lamp tower today with a sixer. Great mouthfeel for a lager and none of that "dirty" lager taste that comes from the overexposed Germans in the US. Would be a perfect beach beer, especially in the cans.
Heck and hell this is an OUTSTANDING Belgium. Picked it up at my place and had I known I would have bought three....this shit is good with the capital G to the double O and D.

Best was the Allagash table, next best was the Smuttynose Robust Porter.
The Curieux is pretty awesome. Allagash seems to have stepped it up a notch lately. Did they have the Coolship red?
From Allagash they had the Black, White, and Dubbel Ales. No Coolship.
There was an impressive selection of beer at this festival. Allagash and Smuttynose were great, but there were many other great ones. I really liked Sweetwater's The Price is Wrong Ale.
old grand dad bottled in bond, 100 proof. shit is 20.99 a litre around me, and great at twice the price.
good enough for Bad Santa, good enough for me.

Not a scotch ale style guy usually but this stuff is great. seems a little easier drinking than I'd expect. Oskar Blues now has a mix pack w/ Old Chub, Dales, and MYP. Good stuff all.
