Steve no doubt we both have to get one! I think that bike may be at the top of the list on hp/weight. KTM is really killing it...the 1190 Adventure and Adventure R and now this. I will check it out when it becomes available. I know my wife is sick of this shit but oh well.

I have thought about a husky te310 to do some dual sporting but they are not one of the models with the deep discounts (e.g., wr125 for under $4k). I may just get an old XR600 and street legalize it. I've got a soft spot for XRs having started on an xr75 as a kid and later having an xr350. Reliable tanks...

That ktm 1290 is insane. 106 ft/lbs? My cbr1krr is crazy fast with a whole lot less hp and torque. You'll need to wear a mouth guard while riding it since you'll be hitting yourself in the face repeatedly with the handlebars. On the plus side the original front tire will probably last the life of the bike.
