Wait, are you suggesting that people would prefer to have full time jobs to part time ones?Batboy2/75 wrote:If they measured unemployment like they should, the rate would by 14-15%. The labor participation rate is in the toilet.
But hey, look forward to your FUNEMPLOYMENT. Become a hipster! Move into your parents garage or a broken fown school bus if you have a family. Get a Federal governemnt backed education loan and then go to clown college or learn to be a community organizer like your demi-god idol. Maybe beg at highway on ramps? Think of the time you could send with your kids? Nothing like watching mom and dad beg for spare change.
Don't you worry! The Democrat party and their "light bringer" demi-god will make sure you get just enough to scrape by! Aren't equal outcomes wonderful?

If Obama likes your plan, you can keep your plan!
The Tryanny of the anointed ones. The credentialed class will centrally make decisions for you. Never mind, it has failed every time it is tried. This time they'll get it right. Always with the same predictable results; misery and failure.

I'm curious about this, Bats. Can you elaborate? What we call insurance is not insurance. If your car insurance was designed like health insurance, 90% of us couldn't afford to drive cars.

Name one other insurance product that works like most healthcare insurance plans do?
Can you take your car in for a check up, for tune ups, and have major work done under your car insurance? Does your car insurance include 20 free trips (minus a $20.00) a year to a detailer? How about vehicle reassignment work? can you have your Car turned into a truck on the insurance companies dime? Absolutely not. It's for unforseen accidents, not for preventative maintence and wish list items mandated by some addled brain politician.
Most Americans would be better off with a high deductable catastophic life insurance plan and a health savings account. It's amazing what happens when the free market is allowed to work; prices come down and choices go up. It's also amazing what is important and not important when people actually see what it costs for an item.

To me the real sticking point with health insurance is the pre-existing condition. Being able to get health insurance with a pre-existing condition is like being able to go to state farm and sign up for insurance right after you crack up your car. The normal rules of insurance aren't going to work with that. The Ginger Beard Man wrote:I'm curious about this, Bats. Can you elaborate? What we call insurance is not insurance. But when I stand in front of the mirror and really look, I wonder: What the fuck happened here? Jesus Christ. What a beating!

But no the arrogant Obama crew had to "transform" the whole fucking thing.
What is the story about the guy with wings who flew to close to the sun?

One problem with your free market argument is thAt there's no example of a free market medical industry. Americans have been fucked by the medical insurance companies and by corporate medicine for years.
Som poore motherfucker down here in Houston was told that he has pancreatic cancer, and the he needed to start treatment today, but his insurance didn't cover it, and he needed to cough up $75k or so today to start.
75k to sit in a chair, have a nurse spend 5 minutes hooking you up to an IV, putting chemotherapy that cost $50/dose to make, into you...because that is how much the medical corporations decided it would cost for that treatment.

Actually, there's a free market in niche areas of the medical industry.Shafpocalypse Now wrote: there's no example of a free market medical industry.
Like plastic surgery: That's why so many skinny bimbos now sport C cup boobs. It's affordable even to mediocre strippers & middle-income teens.
Once ObamaCare covers boob jobs, breasts in the US will be as ugly as British teeth.
In some cases. But a "free market" involves buyers shopping & sellers competing for their business. People with health insurance don't shop - they are totally unconcerned with the cost of care because insurance insulates them from that.Shafpocalypse Now wrote:Americans have been fucked by the medical insurance companies and by corporate medicine for years.

Uh, a huge portion of that cost is because of courts and personal injury lawyers.Shafpocalypse Now wrote:Bats:
