I would like to say that I am sorry for talking shit to you about cops in an earlier thread. I was formerly a cop, a corrections officer before that, and I am now ashamed to have ever been associated with such faggotry. I pretty much go about my life minding my own fucking business. I am a husband, father of 3, and work about 70-80 hours a week to support them. The only crimes I commit these days are speeding at times and maybe fucking my wife with the lights off in positions other than missionary (its a fucking law here, seriously). Since my post defending these retards, I have had a couple of encounters with some of these motherfuckers for various reasons and I have come to see why everyone hates these assholes. I look back and hope that I did not act the way these guys do but I most likely did. So anyway, my bad for taking up for these fuckers, I see where everyone is coming from now. By the way, remember when on I77 traveling through VA/WV dont follow a trooper any closer than 200ft, regardless of traffic flow and speed, because they will slow down to a point where you have to pass them, then they will pull you over and talk to you like a child. Its for your own good.

I first heard about that shit in california, where apparently you shouldn't pass a cop unless you want a ticket. Is this the law or Is it just how they operate?

Both in Michigan and in Texas I've passed cops while going the speed limit with no consequence.

The 200 feet behind is a law, although it's fucking bullshit. Passing is not against the law in Va where I live or WV where I travel for work. That is unless you are speeding or breaking another traffic law in the process. That being said, I worked with a lot of asshats that would pull anyone over that passed them and say they were speeding, pure ego shit really. It seems that must be wide spread these days. I would have never pulled a fucking stunt like what was done on me last night. That's some straight up dickhead coward shit. Didn't even write me a fucking ticket, just tried to talk down to me.

I've been driving all over the country for 35 years and never experienced that.

I've lived in VA my whole life but traveled all over the US, always by my own vehicle, never has anything like that happened to me until now. I spent 10 years in that line of work and know the laws pretty well so I'm extremely careful about shit when I see the 5-0. Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine I would get stopped for some shit like this and get a fucking lecture on top of it.
