A grievance panel has determined former Pocatello High girls basketball coach Laraine Cook should again be allowed to work as a teacher and she should be rehired as coach for 2014-2015, the Idaho State Journal reported Monday. The District 25 Grievance Panel was formed as the third step in the grievance process for Cook, who is disputing her firing. Cook was dismissed in October after the district found out about a photo she had posted on her Facebook page that showed fiancé Tom Harrison, Pocatello’s football coach, touching her clothed chest. The photo was posted in the summer and taken down after two days. The district found out about the photo Oct. 21 and Cook was dismissed two days later.
She is now fighting that dismissal. Harrison was allowed to keep his job. The seven-page document notes the panel’s decision is the “final and conclusive resolution to the grievance unless the Pocatello School District Board of Trustees overturns the panel’s decision by resolution,” at their next regularly scheduled public meeting.
How much $$$$$$$$ have the taxpayers of Pocatello pissed away with this foolishness?
