Who does she think she is raising a pair of Top 50 (30?) football recruits who both accepted full scholarships to play for universities of their selection? I am sure that a lot of white mothers did the same thing but the liberal media isn't reporting it.

College sports is a farm system that simultaneously allows athletes the opportunity to better their lives outside of sports though I do believe that a stipend system of some kind is coming in the next several years.

Perhaps their mother will share a bit of the cash she got from LSU.

We have a national merit scholar down the street and vans have been blocking traffic for the last several days because he's going to announce between Stanford and the local state school in the morning.

Here's what sucks about higher-education, as it pertains to the rest of us:

My sister and her husband both have Master's Degrees in Biology, from Virginia Tech. They also have some other fancy degrees, too. They been in school for a loooong, looooooong time, and though they worked hard, and made good grades as took advantage of every grant and scholarship available that they could, they still had to get student loans, and they're both up to their eyeballs in debt because of it.

And here's the kicker-

They both work together, as "Cell Biologists." That's their job. And I'm a college drop-out with no degree, I work in IT, and I make more money per year than they do combined.


Ball players get a free ride. Some -not all, not the majority but some- turn pro and make shit loads of money.

Jackasses like me get a pass because we work hard and live lean, fine.

But smart kids who think a degree from a big University still means something, work hard, do what they can with scholarships and grants, and still have to get student loans, try to start a meaningful career where they can do good scientific work, and get paid jack shit and have to stress about student loan debt.

Scientists should earn what pro ball players do. And nobody should get a free ride because they can play sports.

I didn't intend to make my post about blacks, I was googling on FSU and graduation rate.

I think a school should expect a higher grad rate from athletes than from the rest of population, particularly in revenue sports. To do less is to fail the students.

Black women are self-inflicted pariahs. Notice the two last names for her boys. Par for the course. Serially impregnated by a never ending line of sperm donating Madden kings until they end up becoming 35 year old grandmothers raising their grand kids and a stray niece or nephew to boot.

Funny thing is, LSU is in the top 20 of graduation rates for players. Surprise there. Maybe that's why she was so bummed.

The entitlement class is grateful for nothing.
