Great cinematography, great story, great acting, great fight choreography. VERY little CGI and there's a fucking 45 minute battle scene! Best flicker picture I've seen this year. This one is gonna pick up a lot of awards. I wish I could have seen it on a massive screen. I heart this movie and so will you.

Can't wait for this to get to somewhere near me. Miike is the greatest director working.

Looking forward to seeing this.

I'm tempted to rent it off of Amazon's Video On Demand before it actually shows in theaters. The sneak peek 3 minutes in the beginning makes the rest look really hard to resist.

Excellent movie, I could enjoy it with my eyes closed, just listening to the snicker-snack of blades cutting through flesh and bone. The Bad Guy was an excellent bad guy in thoroughly sociopathic way. I'll watch it again.

I can't believe I missed this thread. Yes, this is an excellent sword opera. And by sword opera, I mean decapitation and dismemberment porn.
