Southwest Virginia at the moment, closest known place to me would either be Roanoke or Blacksburg where VA Tech is, about an hour from me. Hope to relocate soon to South Carolina where my wife is from. I've been in your area a few times, it's pretty damn southern living. I know you've seen pickled pigs feet at the gas stations.Kazuya Mishima wrote:I live just east of Jackson, MS. I don't usually accompany the spousal unit to Wal-Mart, and I usually pay at the pump. Am I the only one who is puzzled by the fact that fox meat is somehow cheaper in China than donkey meat? Is the demand for donkey meat that high? Are Chinese foxes less elusive or more extensively raised in captivity than American foxes are?

I assume that the meat is a byproduct the fur trade, which China does monster business in. You could keep hundred of foxes in an area that would hold but a few donkeys.Pinky wrote:Am I the only one who is puzzled by the fact that fox meat is somehow cheaper in China than donkey meat?
