Thinking back to the old IGx days of G at his most extreme, and some of the former incessant anti-antisemitism, I had to take a vacation from some threads for a while but I still appreciated the tense interaction and knew that eventually balance would pertain (to quote G).

I went back and looked at the threads in IGX on:
- Boston Marathon Bombings
- Aurora CO Shooting
- Sandy Hook Shooting

And never once was the perpetrator called a N-. The word N- was brought up on those threads, but it had nothing to do with the perpetrator, and one could argue that those acts were as bad if not worse than beating a wife.

As for me personally I don't use profanity at all.

There are definitely problems with various groups in the US, but justifying your use of a word does nothing to fix that problem.
