All five chins were quivering in his press conference.

I had moderately high hopes for this guy.

Those emails are some House of Cards shit. Take those assholes and throw them in the river.

This is pure Win in every way. To my surprise and dismay his press conference was well done, but...

Gov Krispy took himself out for good with this Bridge nonsense, after his Obama stroll post not getting picked as VP.

So now we get to watch the Hillary loving and Obama protecting media go after Krispy over a huge traffic jam. While in the background nowhere near the level of interest or investigation plays out over Benghazi, the IRS scandal, or Fast N Furious.

Only the most Blue of Dems will not note this disparity.

Only the least Red of Reps will care about Krispy going down in Fort Lee. Because nobody doesn't like Fort Lee.

Win Win Win.

Jack, do you seriously think that this "little" scandal is enough to take down KKD for a 2016 election? Unless there's another shoe to drop, I don't see it, but have been horribly wrong on political predictions in the past too.

Who knows but the media are more fearful of him because they think he can beat Hillary. So they will work hard to put him down. So yes i think it is a show stopper, and while early on i liked his style, he is a backstabber and i have no more patience with RINOs. Good riddance.

If he survives and gets nom not sure i can vote for him. Only two differences between the two are he is fatter and a bigger bitch.

Etiquette question: when you're in the midst of a strong jerk sesh, just stroking it hard while you mutter Benghazi to yourself - is it okay to bust on your poster of Ronald Reagan or do you have to aim for your own mouth?

I don't know if I can vote for him or not either (doesn't matter, HRC wins NY), but so far he looks a lot more accountable than the Dissembler in Chief on his best day.

Another Clinton in the WH (Nearly 30 years where all but 1 president is a Bush or Clinton?) is the last thing I want, but the belief that IRS, Benghazi, or F&F is going to lead anywhere is strongly reminiscent of Karl Rove telling FOX on election night to stop turning states blue for Obama as the results came in.

The Tea Party runs the GOP, and the Tea Party brand is comically unfavorable nationwide. The GOP's best chance would be for a popular guy who can tell the Insane Tri-cone Posse to go pound sand, and the only guy popular enough to do that just had an extremely bad week.

I actually don't think Christie would have gotten the nomination before this, but this makes him look bad even to people who saw him as the best chance for a sane Republican candidate.

The next election will be interesting. It will be a contest between the Republican Party and itself. HRC would not be a problem for any remotely coherent Republican campaign, but the GOP might not be able to muster a coherent campaign.

Hillary's problem is that she's old and abrasive, and looks old and abrasive. I think this is a bigger obstacle for a woman than for a man. There will be pictures of her in campaign ads that will make you think she ate Hansel and Gretel.

While I agree with much of this; in election cycles, this is light years from the actual nomination or election. I remember Bush the 1st having a 90% approval rating a year or less before losing to BC. My prediction on the Dem side is Hilary doesn't even win the nomination. If and when she wins, I'll disavow this thread and blame someone hacking my IGx account. It's the younger Clinton who is more likely to win a future nomination IMO.

If Nixon would have fired two of his staffers as fast as Christie did, he might have survived Watergate.

LOL you need to set up a business selling straw men memes to the democratic party.

Here's an interesting guy running for the dem nod. Former Gov of Montana. Interesting guy. Probably seems silly, but I watched this guy in Montana. He does get things done. He is pretty much who he says he is. As a dem, he got 65% of the vote last Governor's race. This in a red state.

Saw this guy on Morning Joe. He says a Democrat who is good with money is hard to beat. The rare Democrat who doesn't turn my stomach within 15 seconds.

How's the new guy out there doing, seeahill?

Just curious as a move that way may be in the works.

Good luck getting that guy through the democratic primaries.

Steve Bullock. Seems like a nice guy with a genuine sense of humor, but he's been in office for a year, so it's little hard to say how effective he is.

In case this is a serious question.

From CNN

It was September and Christie was full steam into his re-election bid -- which he won two months later. Wildstein, who Christie appointed to a high position at the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, ordered the closing of two of the three lanes of traffic leading to the George Washington Bridge in Fort Lee. It held up motorists trying to make it into Manhattan and caused days of massive traffic jams in Fort Lee, where the Democratic mayor Mark Sokolich had declined to endorse Christie for re-election.
Democrats speculated that the mayhem was political retaliation against Sokolich. Hearings ensued, and Wildstein resigned under pressure. Then came Wednesday's revelation that a top Christie aide, Bridget Anne Kelly had e-mailed Wildstein before the closures, telling him, "Time for some traffic problems in Fort Lee." "Got it," Wildstein replied back. He e-mailed a comment that the parents of children stuck in school buses in the traffic jams were Democratic voters.
