Lt.Col. Bramble's brother lived with my maternal family for a couple years in the early 70's before going into the USMC (Force Recon) and later the US Army (SF) and has been an uncle to me my whole life.

(Yes he helped start it up for young Darth.)

This story is about what his brother and wife did, a good deed indeed!

Not my favourite source but they are the ones reporting on it.

My like-uncle's brother Lt. Col Jon Bramble, who is serving in Afghanistan got an abused 16 year old Afghani girl away from her Dirka Dirka Dirka much older husband, who was doing shit like knocking her teeth out with rocks, cutting her nose off, pouring boiling water on her, Tuskin Raider shit like that.

It was actually his wife that heard about this girl, recognised this was the area her husband was at and asked him if he could do something about it and he did.

I met him once, great martial artist, pleasant guy but you just know he's done hard shit.
