Al Jazeera English
Ive given this site and news network a good 2 months trial and I have to say that it has provided some excellent content on the world stage. I will definitely continue with it.

Re: Al Jazeera English
The sad thing is that fox, cnn, etc are so fucking shitty and politically agenda driven, that it would be easy to provide better and more valid coverage.

International coverage is excellent.
Their interviews with academics rather than pundits and pop stars are refreshing.

Re: Al Jazeera English
I used to read Al Jazeera through google translate, which was amazingly good. When English came out, I'd still check it to see if they said one thing in one language and another in ours. They don't, which is cool.

Re: Al Jazeera English
A coworker of mine mentioned this to me today, and I agreed with her, concerning the website. I've been getting my news from Al Jazeera for months now.
I'm sick and tired of Rachel Maddow, Bill O'Reilly, Ann Coulter and all the other talking heads. When I read the news, I want to read:
"In _location_ today, _something_ happened. _So-and-so_ did _that_ about it."
That's IT.
No fucking opinions. No viewpoints concervative or liberal.

If your cable package had Current TV (Al Gore's station), it's probably Al Jazeera now.DikTracy6000 wrote:Linkage?tough old man wrote:Ive given this site and news network a good 2 months trial and I have to say that it has provided some excellent content on the world stage. I read it too. Even the international editions of the major news sites are shit.
