Harold Ramis RIP

Post by Turdacious »

Legendary Chicago comedian, screenwriter and director Harold Ramis — who gave us such iconic films as “Animal House,” “Caddyshack,” and “Groundhog Day,” and co-starred in “Ghostbusters” — has died after a long illness.

The Second City comedy troupe, where Ramis got his start in improv in 1968, confirmed he died Monday morning.

Animal House, Stripes, Caddy Shack, Ghostbusters, Groundhog Day. A Second City alum today said, "Harold Ramis was the single most influential mind on mainstream American comedies in the last fifty years." That seemed wrong, but then I couldn't think of a better choice.
One of the downsides of the Internet is that it allows like-minded people to form communities, and sometimes those communities are stupid.

I was a Ghostbuster for Halloween in 1984. That was the movie of movies for me then and still 100% rules today.

Groundhog Day and Caddyshack are also 'watch them a million times classics' for me.

RIP Harold Ramis

Just saw he wrote Back to School which I didn't know. Another classic to his credit.

Who hasn't said this: Bring us a pitcher of beer every seven minutes until somebody passes out. And then bring one every ten minutes.

If you haven't then you're a faggot.
