His work for Jodorowsky's unfilmed Dune (new doc out but I haven't seen it yet...the "movie" sounds fucking phenomenal):

There is no way Giger and Jodorowsky could have made Dune. The cost would have been astronomical. But GAWDDAMN it would have been awesome. Too bad they didn't go the animated route with Giger and Jodorowsky's concepts.

That would have been epic.

I think Moebius was also in on the concept art.

Here is the trailer for the doc:

No I don't watch anything regularly except UFC and RAW these days. Workaholics when it was on.

It's cheesy as fuck but it's based off of actual Metal Hurlant stories. 30 minute episodes with Low A and B level actors.

I've tried to watch it but...not good.

Would rather score old back issues of Heavy Metal and read those.

That's very cool!

I'm a huge DUNE fan. I'm have a nerd boner for DUNE like most fanboys have for Star Wars, or Star Trek. Fucking awesome.

And Kaz mentioned Heavy Metal. I believe it was Ralph Bakshi -correct me if I'm wrong- that did an animated Heavy Metal movie. Harry Canyon the taxi driver, Dan of Earth, voiced by none other than John Candy. The aliens blowing lines of space coke. Great fucking animated movie.

Now that I think of it, Ralph Bakshi did the drawings and animation for Wizards (another great one), not Heavy Metal.

I saw Wizards in the theatres when I was a little boy. Probably fucked me up. hat as the first and last time I saw it until one night in 97 and it beat any Shrink session in the world.

Bakshi's Coonskin/Streetfight was one of my favorite movies for a long time. Rented it so many times. Heavy Traffic, Hey Good Lookin' and American Pop are also awesome.

Also Bakshi was the creative force on the great 1960s Amazing Spider-Man cartoon for the latter half of episodes. It was his run of weirdness that got the show axed is my understanding.

Coonskin trailer:

And here is the complete Coonskin:
