The monkeys each wear a ring with a tiny needle that injects a stimulent into the pig. This makes the pig faster, increasing the difficulty of catching it. Thus, the human hunters improve performance over broad time and modal domains. Fran times have dropped 30% since introducing the monkeys, though DNFs during hunting have risen significantly.
