My wife and I watched that the other night, and I told her how there's no fucking way a woman could make it through that course, all the shit about upper body strength, etc. When hottie made it past the salmon ladder I literally jumped off of the couch and shouted, "get outta here with that shit!!!" I was a huge fan at that point, and then she proceeded to gut check her way through the rest of the damned course. Incredible all around athletic performance from both a physical and mental standpoint. The only thing that could sour me on this is if she had some affiliation with Crossfit, and that doesn't seem to be the case.

After watching the Alpha Warror video I'm starting to Wonder if American Ninja Warrior is a massive infomercial. Or.....maybe someone else is finding a way to cash in on the spike in obstacle races by tying it into the Ninja Warrior vibe. Either way it's interesting.
Looks like a massively awesome jungle gym for adults. Too bad the narrative is such bullshit.

Maybe I'm off base here but from what I've seen all the retroactive gloryhogging, claiming that Kacy Catanzaro, elite gymnast, rock climber, parkourette (is that a word?) and American Ninja is an @fitter is coming from people who either want to cash in on her name, goose their own sites' SEO or just bask in reflected glory on forumz.

That's right up there with how the Mormon Church posthumously baptizes people's ancestors so that they're retroactively mormon, no matter how long they've been in the dirt.

Regardless, good for her for making hay while the sun shines. She's earned it.

In the meantime I don't doubt that some shady mofos are hurriedly polishing up eBooks about "her" training methods.

It still blows my mind that grown-ass men and women pay a monthly fee to do calisthenics drenched in sweat and vomit while getting yelled at.

When we did that it was called "hazing" and our fraternity was put on suspension.
