Then you are infected by your peers. For example, you were the first one here to talk about theory of Ukraine attempted to shoot down Putin's plane.
What news sources you consider independent? BBC? CNN?
There is not "independent" and "not independent." There is a sliding scale of freedom of the press. Russia has very, very little.
One of the downsides of the Internet is that it allows like-minded people to form communities, and sometimes those communities are stupid.

Certain politicians on all sides of the aisle on all sides of the pond were pointing in all directions to gain face in the eyes of their supporters but the official statements out of the US, whether from the President or the Speaker of the House, have been measured and fairly conservative. The only real criticism that Obama has come down with, as far as I have read, has been directed towards those who have interfered with investigators at the crash site which, if true, I see no way that a reasonable person would disagree with.

The main problem is that such people as that historical re-enactor Strelkov are uncontrollable.
He was at wars in Pridnestrovie, Bosnia, Chechnia... then he "..performed special tasks in other regions of Russia"

"soldier of fortune" as they say, he can easily say fuck off to Putin :)

The rebels were bragging on social media about shooting down a military plane, until they realized they shoot down an airliner. So all you needed was twitter.

Someone's bragging in the internet can't prove anything.
Both sides there constantly bragging about something, and often it reveals just bragging.

It is the same as take someones words from Freee Speech Forun as evidence of something.

They bragged about shooting down a plane at the time the plane was shot down, not after seeing media reports. Then they deleted it all after they saw it was full of civilians and children, as opposed to Ukrainians. Timing is too perfect.

May be they did it. Don't know. I can't completely throw out this version.

But as i said they bragged before that they shot down something, and then it reavealed to be false.
So it could be standard bravura news. Without any real shooting.
Then they saw real crash and deleted posts.

Or all that pics with posts could be fake.

Putin looking visibly uncomfortable in recent TV appearances. Possibly because they made him wear a shirt.
