My team organized a scout mission and attempted to locate the camp. We did flyovers in Helicopter and fixed wing aircraft, foot patrols and drove around for 2 entire days and never found anything except a couple deer feeders and hunting blinds. Doesn't mean its not there, just that we sure couldn't find it if it does. Found spent brass and shotgun shells, Nothing more. It obviously was in use in 2002 according to the shooting accident reported in the link, but as of October 2013, we could not see anything out of the ordinary. We also spoke with several people in the surrounding area asking what they had seen and they reported to us that nothing out of the ordinary had been noticed by them. Talked to a small dairy operation that ran his cows in an adjoining pasture and he is always out on quads in the area and has seen nothing in years. All the brass we found was either very old or right by hunting blinds. Stuff by the blinds was 22-250 and 7mm. Easily explainable and small in quantity. There was a place we found with maybe 100 rounds of 7.62x39 brass but the brass was obviously old. No targets, no ranges, no tents, no trailers as reported except that housed the dairy's workers. There may have been one there in 2002 as the FBI reported, but if there is one there now.... We sure couldn't get eyes on it in a detailed 2 day search. It is certainly NOT a new camp. Could have been in place from the 80's according to a couple of reports.
