Last Sunday, we talked about one of the mitzvas of Sukkot -- that we should be happy for the entire seven days. (Lev. 23:40) Nachmanides said that's the hardest mitzva in the Torah to follow -- how can one be happy all the time for seven days? That led to a very fruitful discussion. The kids asked: What about death and illness? Or depression? Why would God want us to be happy? What's wrong with being sad? Aren't there times we should be sad? Should we fake being happy when we're not?

I shared with them that happiness comes from doing what God expects from each one of us; that we each have a unique mission; that we can each find that mission in our hearts and minds; and that we can be educated in it through the Torah, parents, friends, and teachers. Sadness keeps us from our mission. Pain is unavoidable, but we can't let the accompanying sadness rule us. Joy also motivates us and helps propel us in living life well.

Well then Joy should motivate us to take up arms and kill the enemy that is motivated to kill us.

Speaking of happiness, I know you had nine joy-filled marriages. I recall the young lady below was somewhere in the middle, but I can't recall which one exactly. Which was it?

Also, I know societal norms about hair on women has changed dramatically, but in your days was this really the norm for your wives?

I can start with saying that the conventional type pimp mobile is a thing of the past. They attracted too much law enforcement punishment and corruption.
Likewise street walking whores were at high risk.
So in an effort to side step all that I went to franchising the leasing program that you set up. It worked for a few years but now new Fed banking regulations prevent running a cash only business. It's a sad and floundering enterprise except maybe for small mom and pop operations handling a couple high priced whores locally.
But now that Obama has given Muslims the green light to rule the world, and they are winning, we'll have them to contend with the stoning to death of whores, wiping Israel off the map and even using Hebrew words.
