Well, but you can say that about anything. The Sopranos would've sucked if Gandolfini couldn't have pulled off the sympathetic monster thing. If they get Jim J. Bullock to play Sam Malone instead of Ted Danson, it probably wouldn't have fared so well. etc...Shafpocalypse Now wrote: Breaking Bad was good, but it wasn't the awesome fest people think it was...if it had a shitty actor, not Cranston in it, it would have fallen flat.

Re: Banshee
Worst fucking episode ever. Don't worry about spoilers, there's nothing to spoil. What's with the artsy semi-dream sequences and overbearing background music? Whoever directed this abortion ought to be banished to the Oprah channel. Probably 12 good minutes and they killed off what could've been a very interesting collaboration.

Kinda weak.
Was that assassin chick in the field the Mossad chick from strike back?

Yes, she was. I'm still surprised Lucas didn't bang her.baffled wrote:Kinda weak.

Re: Banshee
So we're down to the finale and it looks like it's a rerun from last season. Everybody loads for bear and goes after Rabbit. And WTF kind of name is Rabbit for a serious Ukrainian gangster?

Keen vodkaphiles will note that Rabbit was drinking from a bottle of Khortysa, which is Ukraine's second best vodka (in my opinion) after Slava.

Re: Banshee
I kinda miss Lucas being beaten at least once in every episode. Last season's episode, when he enters the indian casino to rescue that Proctor's bitch and suddenly it's one endless fight after another reminded me of 'The Raid'.Cave Canem wrote:New season- Episode 2 violence is taken to a whole new level.

That episode was without a doubt the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen.

Way to go, Banshee...first episode opens with Carrie getting nailed doggy style by some stranger in a hotel room, then revenge murder from the popo. I was glad the see the older cop grew a beard and gave his ex wife the hardest 30 seconds on television.

I feel like the writers just threw away Nola's character for no good reason. They never even established her backstory for why she was such a Mossad-level asskicker. Sloppy.

Re: Banshee
i think the actress wanted off. they were setting her up to have backstory with that giant fucking indian , hardcore drug past, and probably one of the main bads for the season.WildGorillaMan wrote:I feel like the writers just threw away Nola's character for no good reason. wait until he finds out she really isn't his. my money is she is really olegs.Cave Canem wrote:Seriously? With all the other crap being reviewed, nobody's watching this? He's already banged the Indian chick and looks like he's going for the deputy chick. How many other shows are there where the main character bangs ALL the females with the exception of his daughter.

You knew Siobhan was gone the minute he leaned over and supposedly whispered who he really was to her. I'm just surprised that nobody has banged the black D.A. yet. It'd be funny if she gets nailed by the new nazi deputy.

When I thought they'd reached the apex, they've managed to climb higher on the violence scale.

This past episode was like a crazy sundae, one of those challenge sundaes that is the size of a hubcap and weighs ten pounds, with bananas, whip cream and sprinkles. It was a bit fucking much.

Re: Banshee
Yeah. I don't know where it can go from here unless they start inserting clips from ISIS. And unless they finish with one hell of a teaser, this season will probably be it for me. I'd still like to know Hood's back story.WildGorillaMan wrote:This past episode was like a crazy sundae, one of those challenge sundaes that is the size of a hubcap and weighs ten pounds, with bananas, whip cream and sprinkles.
