Nightcrawler

Great thriller, great performances, and I bet old Jake gets a run at an Oscar. Best movie I've seen in a while. Refreshing to see Hollywood churn out something besides superheroes, dick joke comedies, mindless action flicks, and robots that turn into cars when they aren't shooting laser guns.

I'm with you. I found it funnier than most movies I've seen. I was trying to figure out if they meant it or I'm a sick fuck.Luke wrote:I really liked it! I don't think all the critics grasped it was satire though?

Agreed that there is a twisted humor about this movie that might get lost on most. Aside from that, I think this movie was perhaps one of Hollywood's most realistic portrayals of a psychopath. All of that Hannibal Lector schlock is like anime compared to this.

Oh, and Rene Russo is hitting all of my GILF switches in this flick.

Super fun movie. I especially liked how he sounds like an absolutely loon as he begins an attempt at blackmail, and you learn later it completely worked.
One of the downsides of the Internet is that it allows like-minded people to form communities, and sometimes those communities are stupid.
