Interesting the way this guy is making waves without even coaching a down.

Re: American Sniper Univ. of Mi
U of Mich loves their minorities far more than they love any other students. They are still attempting to fight the decision on 'reverse discrimination' in court, which told them they could not lower standards for minority students.
I'll give you an pattern for their admission.
U of M student
Black, female, 18 ACT, 2.3 GPA
Rejected U of M student
White, female, 30 ACT, 3.6 GPA.
U of M student
Hispanic, female, 21 ACT, 2.0 GPA
Rejected U of M student
White, male, 32 ACT, 3.8 GPA.
U of Mich is ON THE RECORD for saying that they need to have lower standards for minority students and they preferentially admit minority students to provide campus diversity.

They had spring practice a month ago, so not really accurate that he hasn't coached a down. He hasn't coached a live game there yet, but there's been plenty of practice. Also he made some noise in the small world of recruiting.kupp wrote:Interesting the way this guy is making waves without even coaching a down.

He said that he is going to show his football team a film that is so counterculture that it was up for several Academy Awards...revolutionary.

Going counter to the "trigger warning" don't dare offend me wave of hysteria that's in vogue on campuses was still pretty cool. Kind of a shame that it takes a football coach to be the voice of reason on a major US campus.Phaedrus wrote:He said that he is going to show his football team a film that is so counterculture that it was up for several Academy Awards...revolutionary.
Of course at U of M football is probably a more potent god than modern grievance progressivism.

“The initial decision to cancel the movie was not consistent with the high value the University of Michigan places on freedom of expression and our respect for the right of students to make their own choices in such matters,” E. Royster Harper, Michigan's vice president for student life, said in a statement. “The movie will be shown at the originally scheduled time and location.”
