Yeah...but it look like it might be more than a bit shite beacause of the rampant cuntery. I have no problem with successful franchises being re-imagined, and Hardy is a fucking gem in 90% of the stuff he's been in....but I have serious doubts.

Miller’s commitment to things that look cool cannot be overstated. Mad Max Fury Road is a never-ending stream of such things: of particular note is the mobilized metal music machine that accompanies the raiding party. It’s the most ridiculously awesome sight in a movie filled with ridiculously awesome sights: A sextet of giant drums on one side banging out a beat; a guitarist whose ax doubles as a flame-thrower bungee-corded in to the other side of the vehicle. The sound of shredding is an ominous presence on the horizon, signaling an onslaught of unstoppable doom.

Shit was crazy/ridiculous/awesome. Really good.
One of the downsides of the Internet is that it allows like-minded people to form communities, and sometimes those communities are stupid.

This is a thing that happens in this movie.

Anyone who focuses on the purported feminism rather than the fact that there's a dude on a giant speaker truck playing a flamethrower guitar going 90 mph through the desert is focusing on the wrong things

There's no feminism. Some whiny bitch made a complaint and the media gave it traction.

^^YES! Pretty cool interview with the production designer here:
http://www.mtv.com/news/2161513/mad-max ... in-gibson/
Colin Gibson: Well, the initial genesis I have to say, when I came in — when I was offered the project — there wasn’t a script, but there were all the storyboards. And every armada, every battle, every army, has a little drummer boy. Uncle George, being George Miller, imagined the biggest little drummer boy in the world.

So the plan basically was to try to come up with a vehicle, an idea that could be heard over the roar of a couple of hundred amps. And the only way to do that was to build the largest, last Marshall stack at the end of the universe.

MTV: So wait, the whole thing actually worked?

Gibson: You bet your sweet… George — unfortunately — doesn’t like things that don’t work. I have in the past built him props that I thought were just supposed to be props, and then he goes, “Okay, plug it in now.”
Anyway, about the more pressing matter -- that's Mia Malkova with Remy LaCroix from the film HardX.

This kicked ass. I was really happy with it.

There were some questions though, like why is everyone else whom was alive before the apocalypse decrepit and ancient, yet Max is in the prime of his life?

Great action movie, would have enjoyed it a lot more but JESUS H CHRIST THE THEATRE HAD THE VOLUME KNOB TURNED ALL THE WAY UP TO 11 AND IT HURT. I actually went out to the manager and mentioned people would enjoy it more if their customers weren't writhing in pain every big action scene (90% of the movie). She said she'd look into it. I think what she really said is fuck you, you old pussy.

Did some googling...
A report by the Ear, Nose and Throat journal on the noise exposure in movie theatres is shocking. It shows that the three highest maximum sound levels were recorded during the showings of Transformers (133.9 dBA), License to Wed (129.1 dBA) and The Simpsons Movie (128.6 dBA).
And
IT’S LIKE TWO AND A HALF HOURS OF CAPS LOCK

FUCK YOU MOVIE THEATERS AND I KNOW IT’S NOT EVEN ENTIRELY YOUR FAULT BECAUSE THE STUDIOS SET YOUR MOVIES AT A CERTAIN VOLUME LEVEL AND YOU’RE NOT SUPPOSED TO FIDDLE WITH THAT SHIT BUT I DON’T CARE IT’S ON YOU ASSHOLES BECAUSE SOMEWHERE I’M SURE YOU HAVE A VOLUME KNOB HIDDEN BEHIND A GLASS BOX THAT YOU’RE ALLOWED TO BREAK IN AN EMERGENCY

WELL IT’S AN EMERGENCY

MY EARS ARE SQUIRTING BLOOD LIKE I’M A LAWN SPRINKLER

LOUD

LOUD

AAAAAAAA

CAPS LOCK ALL THE TIME IS IRRITATING ISN’T IT

TRY GOING TO MOVIE WHERE EVEN THE DIALOGUE SOUNDS LIKE SOMEONE HITTING YOU IN THE EARDRUM WITH A SLEDGEHAMMER
Oh well, looking forward to seeing it again in my living room with the volume control in my hand.
Don’t believe everything you think.

Saw it this weekend, fucking loved it. It was basically Borderlands: The Movie. I seriously feel like I need to watch it another 2-3 times just to pick up on all the little visual details I missed. There's just so much going on and it's so neat to look at, ugh. Just a great return to big-budget, r-rated action flicks.

My daughter (a movie buff) saw it the other day. Her summary of the plot: two cars chasing a truck for two hours. Well made from technical point of view.
