Suggested dose is four a day. The equivalent from most others is 10-12.Schlegel wrote:You mean you don't have to swallow 10 capsules at a time?

In terms of fatty acids? CostCo's Kirkland brand you'd need to take 18.3 pills to match the DHA, 5 to match EPA, of four Flamouts. I don't know what the CLA comparison is. In terms of cost, I believe that about equalizes the price, I don't know what Kirkland goes for at the store.Renegade Doughboy wrote:How much more than regular ole fish oil?
Yeah, but very mild. Every brand but Carlson's (lemon flavored, no burps, expensive), I get fish burps. Little burps that taste fishy, for those who don't know. The Kirkland brand's were foul enough it made me nauseous. That alone sells me on the Biotest stuff.Renegade Doughboy wrote:Burposity?
Flamout's are brief and not very noticeable, and I've taken all four at once on an empty stomach. Taking with food reduces it, I suspect spreading it out throughout the day would eliminate it, though I haven't done that. You have to refrigerate the stuff and it's easier to pop them when convenient, since T-Nation says there's no reason to space it out.
Update on benefits. DOMS seems to have suddenly become a very brief condition, despite being sedentary for almost five weeks. Not totally gone, but I could have hit BJJ today, which was very surprising. Obvious improvements in skin; "winter itch" (more likely eczema in my case), which jiu jitsu aggravated and I'd tried a few different meds for, is almost completely gone after a week of this stuff. It did take a few days for any changes to be noticeable, but now it's obviously. Highly recommend you try it out for a month, without changing other variables, and see what you think.

For general healthiness, you should take magnesium and potassium as well. Dan John recommended this and I noticed a difference when I started. I am old though so you may not need this geriatric mineral regimen in your life.
And above all you need to take fiber. Yes, you'll get the fishy shits for a few days but you will adapt. Fiber is the key.

Yep. I'd keep it up for skin benefits alone, given the BJJ can be tough on it and the winter is brutal. Very pleased. I may go off it in a couple months to see if things lag, but at the moment it's exceeding my expectations.Dave wrote:Hey STROY
Have you noticed anything from the Flameout yet? Is it really worth $25 for 22 days supply?
DB, how much potassium and magnesium are you taking daily>?

Fuck, I don't know. Whatever comes in the IGA generic vitamin bottle. I think it's like 99 or 100 mg. Standard sized piss enhancers.Grandpa's Spells wrote:Yep. Carlson's Cod Liver oil seems to me to be a great product for the price, too.

Try these. http://www.vitaminworld.com/pages/Categ ... AA&CID=228
I get the Super Fish Oil and take 6 a day. One 180 count bottle lasts 1 month and I get the second half price.
I take these when I eat my meals and get no fish burp.

I'm off coconut oil for this year. I'm loading up on Omega 3's ( fish, flax ) to test out their anti inflammatory claims and for the purpose of relieving joint pain.
That's why I'll be low carbing all year. 10 grams of carbs per day or less.
I'll need a full year to be sure. I'll also be upping the dosages.
