In my work, instruction on new policies & SOP's used to be disseminated by either written memo or classroom instruction. Now there's a YouTube video or Powerpoint slide show for every fucking thing. And every audience member must march in Lockstep with the pace of the presentation. That's certainly not the way my mind operates, and I suspect many other people are similar. So "learning" becomes a 30 minute soul-killing, monitor-staring creep through material that would take 2 minutes to absorb from a one page memo.

I swear to god this bitch I worked with said she didn't use power point etc because it was "more work" and after she was done there was "hardly anything to show for all the work" she did!
