My childhood withers more every day.
Funny that the best WWF heal of all time was a total stand up guy IRL, and the biggest face they ever had is a total tool bag.
RIP Rowdy.

RIP Rowdy.

I don't have a lot of experience with vampires, but I have hunted werewolves. I shot one once, but by the time I got to it, it had turned back into my neighbor's dog.

How many of us can say we are genius-level brilliant at what we do? Piper was that as a heel. No one did it better.

Agreed. Normally I couldn't give a shit when a celebrity dies, but I feel a genuine sense of loss with this one.Koko, Beware wrote:How many of us can say we are genius-level brilliant at what we do? Piper was that as a heel. No one did it better.

Wrestling is such a weird thing. It's its own fucked up demimonde of sleaze, carny behavior, and venality and yet...those guys were practicing a pretty uniquely American art form. Not too many guys were as charismatic as the Hot Rod. I can't think of any I'd rate with him in that department outside of Flair, Hogan, Dusty, and Kerry Von Erich. At least among the generation I grew up with.

I'd put Jake Roberts up there with those guys on the charisma-meter.

RIP RRP. A great era of wrestling. I quit watching after those guys. He seemed like a good dude.

One of the all time greats, it's a shame.
I didn't realize it at the time but this is without a doubt one of the high points of Western civilization and culture

But when I stand in front of the mirror and really look, I wonder: What the fuck happened here? Jesus Christ. What a beating!

Who do you think is a more talented heel, Piper or Trump? I know which one I liked better. And would prefer for president. But I bet it's less of a stretch for Trump.
