Thanks dux. Japan probably wasn't going to be a thing for me. Dads done some Asia business and said Japan was expensive as shit.Dux wrote:In and out of Japan for the past few months, I don't know what line of work are you into or what your current living conditions are but Japan is not a cheaper country especially if you are accustomed to eating vegetables and fruits. There are places that are like Walmart but sell fruits on a premium like a five dollar banana.
Culture wise is a very beautiful country, very diverse, has tons of outdoor activities to do and it is conveniently located almost in the middle of everything. In the past few months I have been to Australia, China, and a few other places sorely on my own budget and by utilizing excellent opportunities in cheap airfare.
I can work remotely, but also have ways of making a legal living locally if push came to shove.
Buddy was in Shanghai for a year to teach English. He came back a little shell shocked, but another buddy did the same thing, met a chick and stayed.
Shanghai sounds awesome. Hear it's a beast of a city.
Right now thinking either S. Korea, Thailand, Vietnam or Shanghai. Beijing could be interesting.
