See, there is a little bit of anthropomorphic horse puckey that we all need to understand: dogs completely live in the moment. Don't think for a heartbeat, they think about you when they are in a new home.

He is kinda sorta almost famous, has faced death and far worse, the constant fear of a burning cabin. Tim's got a lot to work with, he's just a typical lazy lib who thinks it should all just come to him without effort.

I think I figured it out. Being raised by a liberal "companion human", Dex is probably upset by anything he sees as cultural appropriation.
Tim, stop talking to younger women in yoga pants and see if that helps.

Correct.....liberals are compelled to (smugly) categorize/lump into groups that they make the worst of dog owners as they cannot deal with the concept of the individual. Anyhow, Tim has killed moose and done all sorts of other macho shit, so I think his dog problems are not him, just his perspective in the moment.
