Some friends of mine named their kids Sam and Ella. Eliminates any connection with chicken farming, production or restaurants featuring chicken.

Re: you didn't, did you?
My daughter has one of those generic girls names that could make her sound like a dopey sorority girl or a women's study novelist. My oldest son has a name that is frequently feminized and made fun of, but he shares with a number of famous awesome people. My youngest son is going to be a big dumb motherfucker and his name is so Irish mafia, I can easily see the older one's tormentors being easily intimidated if not by the name, by the sheer size of him. (And he idolizes his older brother so would be happy to kneecap a motherfucker if need be.)
:)
I had a girlfriend who was pregnant with her daughter the same time as me and purposefully chose a "unique" name because she thought it would make her cool. I know so many kids with that name now its not cool at all.
Although, I must say, I visited my friend at college one time and there was this stoner white kid named Sun Temple something-or-other. And probably the coolest name was a dude I went to college with, his middle name was Wrath. :) The rest of it was awesome too.

It looks like the article is citing an Internet survey. Not actual names of kids
One of the downsides of the Internet is that it allows like-minded people to form communities, and sometimes those communities are stupid.

Disregarding the article and Spell's comment completely, I worked at pottery years ago, and there were several sisters working there. Their names: Delight, Verlight, Solight, and Tolight. All were decent looking, and Delight was an absolute slut.

I had a friend who was one of the most uptight people imaginable, always one of those 75 years old from the get go types, and his brother was the complete opposite.
One day he was in absolute nervous distress because he found out his nephew / niece to be was going to be called either Diesel or Ice, and he wasn't sure how he was going to be able to bring himself to ever put it on a birthday card.

The great blessing of having a ridiculous last name is that you try to show your kids some mercy with their first names.
