Herv, nice picture, very Trumpian. Here's the original picture from a webpage last updated in 2009 (which means the picture pre-dates Libya and isn't Stevens)

Hillary is on record admiring the Australian Gun confiscation, dodging a question on the Heller decision, and attacking the NRA.seeahill wrote:So Trump tells a rally that if Hillary is elected, she will gut your gun rights.
So Trump is on target with that description.
Only interpretation = "Assassinate Hillary!"seeahill wrote:"By the way, if she gets to pick her judges, nothing you can do folks," he said. "Though the Second Amendment people, maybe there is, I don't know."
Trump couldn't have been referring to the NRA's political clout. You know, the clout that the Dems have been whining about for decades.

His sentence presumes she gets to pick judges. If A occurs (she gets to pick judges, i.e., is President) then B occurs (nothing you can do).johno wrote:Hillary is on record admiring the Australian Gun confiscation, dodging a question on the Heller decision, and attacking the NRA.seeahill wrote:So Trump tells a rally that if Hillary is elected, she will gut your gun rights.

But Trump says there is something you can do after she gets to pick judges, i.e., after she is President. Maybe. He doesn't know. Heard it from people. Many people who are talking.
The explanations offered by the Trump shills and even the NRA prior to activation of the Trump Bullshit Emergency Response Team ranged from he's joking (Ann Coulter) to "Trump is often incoherent because he is a businessman" (Rep. Duncan Hunter). His was the funniest, like being a businessman means being unable to communicate.
YA THINK?"I would disagree on this point — you're treating Mr. Trump's words like he is the most articulate person who's ever graced our ears with his words, and that is not true. He is not a politician. He is not a person like you who's very articulate, very well spoken," Hunter said in response. "He's a business person who’s running for president. So I don't think the way he said that, and the sequence of his statements, I'm not going to judge him on that, because I don't think that's what he meant. And I think he can be inarticulate at times."

I believe that Trump expressed what he wanted to say and was joking. And when the criticism comes and he realized he goofed he'll play the "I was joking" card, or the "You misinterpreted what I said" card - he probably already has, I haven't been paying attention.
If he had meant the NRA, he's smart enough to say that instead of "2nd Amendment people".

It's laughable that Trump is Mr. Precision Speaker.Boris wrote: If he had meant the NRA, he's smart enough to say that instead of "2nd Amendment people".
Most of the time I can't figure out WHAT he says or means. He's damn near incoherent...conversational ADHD...something.
My challenge is to the Hillary fucks who "know" that Trump was advocating violence, and that his words admit no other reasonable meaning.
Trump, in an interview with Fox News’ “Hannity,” denied he was suggesting this.
"This is a political movement," Trump said. "This is a strong powerful movement, the Second Amendment. Hillary wants to take your guns away. She wants to leave you unprotected in your home.
"And there can be no other interpretation," Trump said of his remarks. "I mean, give me a break."

But, while we're on the topic, I thought that Obama stopping in Vietnam to recommence arms sales was a nice touch before visiting Hiroshima.... very classy.

There is something citizens can do after H picks judges: Apply political pressure to Congress to stop anti-gun rights bills. Possibly Trump knows there is a Third Branch of government and he was referring to that.nafod wrote:His sentence presumes she gets to pick judges. I know exactly what his words say, since I have his words. I am with you in agreeing that what he means is a whole 'nuther thing. I think it was a flip toss-off red meat to the faithful joke reflecting extremely bad judgement and a failure in the brain-mouth filter, if I had to put money on it.johno wrote:There is something citizens can do after H picks judges: Apply political pressure to Congress to stop anti-gun rights bills. Ya'll missing lead up to this. When he tells the crowd that Clinton will abolish #2A and confiscate your guns....THEN, "well once she gets the judges, there's nothing you can do.....well, maybe the #2A people could..."
Tell them a lie, then convince them the only way to stop the lie is to "call your Congressman." You fucking people are so obtuse.

It's either tone deaf because he's referring to "2nd Amend People".....meaning he defers to the NRA on to whether his premise is false or not...J Hillary is coming for your guns...or maybe not. ask the NRA..
or he's clumsily saying something far worse about Hillary being stopped by a gun nutter.
I predict a third option...he has no idea what's going to come out of his mouth at a give moment because he's an unmeasured, unstudied hack

Clown or criminal.....which narcissistic megalomanic is the least dangerous?
I'm starting to wonder if the election will be lost by the candidate whose supporters are most likely to just stay home staring into the abyss.

I've said it before and I'll say it now: after this fucked up election ends, the most interesting thing of the year will be the turnout numbers.
The next president will either be a dangerous, war-mongering criminal or a dangerously amateurish loose cannon. Take your pick.

As soon as he said it, you could see the glee and laughs from the crowd behind him.
They knew exactly what he said, and what it meant.

Not that many even reacted. So maybe Trump's meaning wasn't as clear as you think.
