Seattle
I'm off here in the autumn, which I believe you chaps call the fall. First time I've been to merica. Tell me some good stuff to do. Cover all bases from brothels to temples. I am diverse in my interests.

Plan a trip to summit St. Helens. It's a few hours out of Seattle though.

Re: Seattle
The best parts of Seattle are not actually the downtown itself. Do the Market, get the tiny donuts, see the fish dudes, swing by the gym.
Drink in the neighborhoods, Belltown, Georgetown, Chinatown, Ballard is worth look as well because of water access. Pm for specifc bars depending on the level of trouble you'd like to get into.
Take a ferry to to one of the islands, Bainbridge is easy, Vashon as well. Kayak around Lake Union, Houseboats are neat and real working waterfront is rare on the West Coast. If you like trees and shit, the Arboretum is good, you can kayak into it.
Get east to the Mountains if You can, The pass is 50 minutes out in light traffic, Rainer is close, St Helens is a longer trip but is a legit active olcano The Pass has good forest road driving and trees. If Cycling is your thing, PM me I can make a list of stealth spots.
If you have longer than a week, take a train to Portland as well. Same basic town but smaller more hipster but also better book stores and coffee. If Seattle is NY, Portland is Boston.

PS...the standing IGX offer of course. If you want to grab an adult beverage and get a 10 cent tour of the basic town layout, I'm right downtown 6-7 days a week either at the office or the gym.

Thanks very much for the info fellas, I've read about some of the Mountains nearby but not sure if I'll realistically get time to do it. However, BD, schedule permitting I'll take you up on that offer of an adult beverage, cheers! I'll PM you...

Ivars fish and chips down by the ferry. Every trip I used to eat there both ways.

Dress for rain.
The underground tour is pretty cool. The had to raise the city buy making everybody's second floor the first floor and building streets one story higher. The old streets and buildings are still below.

One of the downsides of the Internet is that it allows like-minded people to form communities, and sometimes those communities are stupid.
