He doesn't want to be president. He realized he fucked up by running and now he's trying to get out of it in a way that he can blame others for, ie acting like an incompetent idiot. No one wants an incompetent idiot in the white house, but anything that gets him out is "unfair".

Anyway, I say make him serve. He will be such a massive failure, especially to his main core of supporters, that he won't be able to bear it. Can you imagine him being told "You're fired" by the American public? I honestly don't think he'll survive it. Too much stress, its bound to kill him. Although, I would really have him an an ineffective president than have him die and have Pence come in and try to institute a constitutional fundamentalist theocracy.

Fucking politics are nuts. No wonder no moderate sensible people run.

My theory was always that he was just in the primaries for publicity, and never expected to win even that, but his ego wouldn't let him just drop out of the running so he was trapped by his own wins.

Let's have a total complete every state recount. I'm all for it. Then let's purge the voter rolls and start from scratch. Everyone re-register with a valid id so we know there are only legit voters.

I'm not sure I'd register to vote again- if nothing else it would get me out of jury duty.

Johnson got less than 3.5%, and the recount isn't going to push him over 5‰. Stein didn't get a third of his votes.

They who? Stein and the Greens who started the funding drive and the paperwork?
No one ever knows their motivations, even the Euro Greens think ours are stupid for only pretending to be politically active once every four years.

Libertarians and Greens could both get a not-miniscule number of local officials elected in different parts of the country and build that into state pols and one day perhaps even a Congressman or two - instead they choose this route.
