I have some conflicted feelings on this one. On one hand, killing ambassadors is a terrible idea. On the other hand, if your government is sponsoring the murder of lots of little kids on TV, a Turkish cop going #TeamOmran is unlikely to spark a great deal of outrage among non-Russians (aside from Trump's team).

On Friday, the Obama said about the Russians:

In an interview with NPR's Steve Inskeep that is airing Friday on Morning Edition, Obama said, "I think there is no doubt that when any foreign government tries to impact the integrity of our elections ... we need to take action. And we will — at a time and place of our own choosing. Some of it may be explicit and publicized; some of it may not be."

Today we have a dead Russian diplomat in Turkey and perhaps another big time Russian shot dead in Moscow on the same day as the electors vote for Trump. It's obviously the reckless provocation of an insane American administration to incite WWIII and delegitimize Trump! The NYT & WP will be all over this.
