Not surprisingly it is about Algiers and Battles. Told from the revolutionaries side but whew is it rough... one of my top 10 films (not just war either) but I just watched today. And the Criterion has super cool additions, get that copy.

I saw it in the early 80s on tv if I remember correctly.Black and white int it? The frogs won that war,but per usual got betrayed by the politicos (so now they`ve got a bit of a problem with north african slums in France instead.....).

Yes. It is worth a rewatch. Get the Criterion edition for the add ons if possible.
