He's in the phone book in MI. I didn't see anything in his post history about being sick. He was super happy about Trump, which is worrisome.
One of the downsides of the Internet is that it allows like-minded people to form communities, and sometimes those communities are stupid.

Doesn't he take some sort of polysaccharides that keep him from getting sick?

He mentioned evidence of strokes and a tumor in a few posts. I had hoped to meet him in RL but he got so bitchy that I blew it off.Grandpa's Spells wrote: ↑Mon May 07, 2018 8:43 pm He's in the phone book in MI. He liked Trump? Are you surprised, Troy?

I am sad about Andy's passing but also think he'd have found this funny.

Awww man. Rest in peace, Andy. He was truly one of the OGs of this place. Crazy that I remember when he was Andy65.

Andy believed in the benefits of physical exercise and, after the age of seventy, won five national weight lifting awards.
Wait, that shit was true? That scrawny ciggy smoking motherfucker? What, now you gonna tell me he really was god too?
I started out hating that guy, then came to love him. Now I gotta respect him?
Been missing him for a while, sorry he wont be coming back.
Stay strong Andy mofo.

Yeah. It was in the all round weight lifting thing. You remember, things like one arm deadlifts, various presses, etc. I don't know what events he won. I thought he set some age group records as well.Thud wrote: ↑Mon Jul 22, 2019 5:46 pm Andy believed in the benefits of physical exercise and, after the age of seventy, won five national weight lifting awards.

At least one of them was a chain lift, I can't recall if it was the harness lift or the hand and thigh lift tho. It was all done in fun, but he was so proud of that.

Neither of them, IIRC. Mahler, Jones, Lawrence, Andrea DuCane, Maxwell were the early bunch.

I've posted this before:
"Of the nature of Death and the Dead we may enumerate twelve kinds.
First there are those who become new gods, for whom new universes are born.
Second those who praise.
Third those who fight as soldiers in the unending war with evil.
Fourth those who amuse themselves among flowers and sweet springs with sports.
Fifth those who dwell in gardens of bliss, or are tortured.
Sixth those who continue as in life.
Seventh those who turn the wheel of the Universe.
Eighth those who find in their graves their mothers' wombs and in one life circle forever.
Ninth ghosts.
Tenth those born again as men in their grandsons' time.
Eleventh those who return as beasts or trees.
And last those who sleep."
From "Forlesen" by Gene Wolfe, originally published in Orbit 14 (1974), edited by Damon Knight
Andy finally gets his own universe.

He told me that one of his lady friends would clean up his place. He gave her some counseling. She then gave him head. He was in his seventies at the time.Shafpocalypse Now wrote: ↑Wed Jul 24, 2019 9:35 pm Andy was a maniac.
