Post Office Shennanigans
We are early on this one, but Trump is actually saying the goal is to fuck up mail in ballots.
One of the downsides of the Internet is that it allows like-minded people to form communities, and sometimes those communities are stupid.

Trump always commits his crimes in full public view, while people go looking under rocks for evidence.Grandpa's Spells wrote: ↑Fri Aug 14, 2020 7:35 pm We are early on this one, but Trump is actually saying the goal is to fuck up mail in ballots.

We couldn't roll out Obamacare properly, we couldn't deliver PPE properly, and we haven't resolved this years primary related voting debacles.
How could anyone possibly believe for one second that a never before done nationwide voting scheme involving Trump and the Post Office could possibly succeed?

If the allegations are to believed, they are taking the mail sorting machines, breaking them, and throwing them in dumpsters. This reduces mail throughput by 21M pieces per hour.DrDonkeyLove... wrote: ↑Fri Aug 14, 2020 8:34 pm We couldn't roll out Obamacare properly, we couldn't deliver PPE properly, and we haven't resolved this years primary related voting debacles.

It can succeed if they do it within full view and one side decides it's OK.

Can you please post a link, video, article, or some other something so we know what you're on about? Then we could discuss it rationally like civilized white people do.Grandpa's Spells wrote: ↑Fri Aug 14, 2020 8:44 pmIf the allegations are to believed, they are taking the mail sorting machines, breaking them, and throwing them in dumpsters. It's a fairly big story? Last Friday 23 USPS executives resigned or were replaced:

Trump said on TV he's trying to make it harder for mail in ballots to be counted:
https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/202 ... on-funding
“They need that money in order to have the post office work so it can take all of these millions and millions of ballots,” Trump said in an interview with Fox Business’s Maria Bartiromo. “If they don’t get those two items, that means you can’t have universal mail-in voting because they’re not equipped to have it.”
Mail sorting is being deliberately slowed

Since many vets are required to get their meds by USPS, and only USPS, they are not getting them.

IF THE ALLEGATIONS ARE TO BE BELIEVED
Re: Post Office Shennanigans
Thanks for the links. Explain to me exactly what you think you know. Let's have a rational discussion. From what it says in the Vice and WP articles you linked this was in the works before Trumps appointee DeJoy was in place. It's not a secret that the USPS has been insolvent and in need of cost-cutting measures for years, so...why do you think this is a Trump tactic? The quote which you're saying substantiates it being a tactic is a statement of fact, not a secret conspiracy.Grandpa's Spells wrote: ↑Fri Aug 14, 2020 9:26 pm It's a fairly big story? Re: Post Office Shennanigans
We used to have a mail sorting post office facility near my workplace, but it was eliminated some years ago to centralize labor and cut costs. Given the shrinking volume of 1st class mail, it's not exactly shocking that it could be in the works again.

Re: Post Office Shennanigans
^^^Even SPELLS article says it was in the works before DeJoy took over. Meanwhile, his city is shutdown due to Democrat-supported race riots and looting, but he's worried about the overhaul of a quasi-public service because Rachel Maddow or some similar leftoid freak told him that's the real threat to American society.

Re: Post Office Shennanigans
So what is Trump doing to ensure the postal service can meet its commitment to voting during the pandemic? Will the country use Fedex and UPS to augment the USPS?
Don’t believe everything you think.
Re: Post Office Shennanigans
I thought he said he would sign legislation that came to him from Congress? His objection was making it a contingency of the Federal aid package for Americans during the pandemic.

Re: Post Office Shennanigans
Assume that Donny, Nancy, and the USPS are honest and competent brokers. Can anyone provide a scintilla of evidence that accomplishing this in 2-3 months could be done such that the count was honest and accurate? Since at least 2 of the 3 are dishonest brokers, and none of them are overly competent, take the odds of failure and multiply them by infinity.
