About the "means"
The media, Biden, and the Left are currently on a jihad against "assault rifles." If experience shows that just as much damage can be done with an ordinary handgun, do you still favor an "assault rifle" ban? If so, on what basis?
Experience shows assault rifles are far more deadly. Duh. That's why they're carried into battle.
How many people were shot in the Las Vegas mass shooting with a handgun?

First, fuck you and your "Duh." Mass murder in a civilian setting is different from the battlefield. Duh.
For nearly a decade, the Virginia Tech shooting claimed the highest body count. Pistol/s only, used on an unarmed student body.
The Las Vegas mass murder was anomalous in many respects, unlike any of the others in the top ten mass murders except the U of T Tower shootings more than fifty years ago. You were in the military, surely you can figure it out. Hint: METT

Actually, experience AND SCIENTIFIC DATA ANALYSIS show that handguns kill far more people in the USA, and that despite the wide availability of long guns of every stripe. Of all murders in the US in 2017, 73% of those were committed with firearms, and of those 67% were committed with handguns. Thus, by any metric, handguns are the more deadly.
But you don't really care. You're dishonest. You don't care about the people who are shot. You don't care what weapons they were shot with. Or by whom. You just want control.
