Animal Kingdom
This came on after the NCAA Championship Game Monday night. I just left it on and within the first couple of minutes it had me hooked. I guess TBS/TNT is going to run a 10 part series that will start in June based on the Australian movie of the same name. It appears this was the pilot episode about a criminal family in Oceanside, CA that's run by the mom played by Ellen Barken and her boys pull bank jobs and whatever. It had a Sons of Anarchy kinda feel to it. If this first episode was an indication of the rest of the series it's definitely worth watching. Teri/Proto, lick my crack.
Re: Animal Kingdom
Does it have Jim wrestling a boa constrictor?

That wasn't on after the game.
In fact, you're making all this shit up.

If you can get it, and you liked Animal Kingdom, try watching Jack Irish ...it's an Aussie mini series-ish ...there's three TV movies, and the fourth is a six-part series. Guy Pearce who was in Memento.

Luke...no I haven't. In fact I didn't even know about it until after I watched the show I mentioned above. I am fascinated about the real story...you folks ain't playin' around down there when it comes to criminal family shit. The real family the Australian movie is based on sounds fucking crazy! Looks like they truly did murder two police officers and actually got away with it. I've looked for the Australian movie but can't find it.

Point Break became a TV show. Not bad.
You ever seen a cycling plumber who wrestles with small calves, forearms and neck? Didn't think so.

Totally agree. This weeks episode will send you to the shower with a drink. Fuck this is a messed up show but we can't stop watching it. The guy that plays Pope is either one of the best actors in the business or he's really that guy. You fuckers that are not watching this need to get on board. My vote for one of the best but also creepiest show on tv right now.Cave Canem wrote:Just started watching this and am hooked. This guy has the deranged intensity of John Malkovich. Can't take your eyes off any scenes that he's in.Shapecharge wrote:Totally agree. This weeks episode will send you to the shower with a drink. Re: Animal Kingdom
I turned it off 30 minutes into the pilot episode and started watching Southland. Maybe it was the SOA feel. I barely made it through 2 episodes of that. Southland is an awesome show!

It was. So was Ray Donovan until Ann Biderman left that too.Mickey O'neil wrote:I turned it off 30 minutes into the pilot episode and started watching Southland. Maybe it was the SOA feel. I barely made it through 2 episodes of that. Southland is an awesome show!

Just watched this episode last night and thought for a minute that Pope had gone full psycho, but there are still some limits that TV seems reluctant to cross.

Southland is awesome from start to finish, with no letup. I really liked the episodes with Lou Diamond Phillips.SubClaw wrote:It was. Re: Animal Kingdom
Hey you dirty filthy fucking thread hijackers...this thread is about "Animal Kingdom" and not this fucking Southland shit you circle-jerkers want to fondle each other over. Start your own Southland thread so I can come over there and lay a big fat fucking turd in it...oh, I turned it off after a half hour because my pussy started oozing milky fluid because I just don't understand why this would be happening this way and the camera angles makes me queasy. You. Bitches.
Re: Animal Kingdom
...And how about the part where the Probie discovers his Field Training Officer is hooked on prescription meds?
