It's all torture porn, take the worst crap of Saw or Human Centipede or Hostel and then magnify it by a thousand. The issues Ennis wrote are the best of the bunch. The other ones tend towards shit in writing and graphics. I also can't stop reading them. But if I could unread one it would be Crossed: Psychopath. Thinking about that one makes me feel physically ill, and that's saying something given how bad all the others are.

That is very helpful.

It's like slowing down to look at a crash scene but then driving past again and again to get a better look. I don't know what that says about me.
I think the point of that series was the psycho was Crossed. He couldn't get worse. It was an interesting contrast how they treated that subject to that old guy in the first series, Geoff.
When do they get really fucked up? I'm only through chapter six in the first volume, and even though they're kinda screwy, they're not the worst thing I've seen or read. Maybe a little desensitized and prepared from reading this thread?
I'm not sure I'm looking forward to reading more, but they are pretty instantly addicting.

The Ennis stuff is a bit twisted but good. I think they get real nasty when other folks write the follow up stories. Trying to keep up with Ennis and all that.
