Dark Room - good for writing if you're easily distracted

Post by Holy Cow »

I found this cool composition program for PCs. It's bare-bones and it helps cut down on distractions while you're writing. The default is an entirely black screen with a mellow green font, so it's easy on the eyes and there's nothing else to focus on but what you're writing. And it's free.

Apparently there are more of these floating around. I think these next two are for Macs:

Scrivener: http://www.literatureandlatte.com/scrivener.html

Ulyses has had a full screen mode for years.

Full screen mode is excellent no matter what program it comes in.

BTW, Scrivener is great.

Looks like the old IBM 3090 VT display.

I didn't know the emacs keyboard shortcuts were considered obscure.
