Every good storyline and character was abandoned or killed off...

Predictions:

Cersei will continue to be a vicious, spoiled-rotten bitch
Jamie will keep moping around being generally useless
Daenerys will bore us all to tears with her naive proto-social-justice-warrior pretentiousness
Orlando Bloom Snow will sit on a big ice wall and try to convince us he's genuinely conflicted
The gigantic fugly duckling and her kinda-slow assistant will spend the season in the woods looking for various folks
The Littlefinger/Sansa relationship will plumb new depths of creepiness
Arya joins the club and becomes a cliche super assassin
Bran...don't get me started on Bran. That whole story thread sucks and has sucked since Season 1.

And so on and so on. The whole thing sort of lost me last season and I only got halfway through book 4 before I had to put it away - the writing and story development was atrocious.

The entire show is carried by Tyrion at this point, esp. with the loss of Tywin and Sandor. I'll watch it for Tyrion's story and occasional shots of Melisandre's tits.
