I'm only 2 in, I'll do at least the 3rd this summer after season two's over, but most likely the 4th too.

Im about halfway through the 5th book. The 4th one has been my least favorite thus far, although I did like the Areo Hotah character.

I this series of books, and am quite irritated that Netflix has yet to have season 1 available on DVD or streaming.

Great finale. Those dragon are awesome along with the White Walkers.
I also just picked up book one.

You guys will probably love the books more. There's, necessarily, way more stuff going on in the books than they can cram into ten hours of TV.

Started book 3 this a.m. (and now realize where that last scene in the finale came from).

If you have a kindle or other device check your public library for the downloads. I read them all this way for free.

The last episode was a bit of a bummer. I thought Sensa got away with the hound? Now I have to read or listen to the books.

I'm going to try to go that route when I re-read, probably close to when book 6 is getting ready to come out. Books 4 & 5 are somewhat dissatisfying on their own, although still great, because of the stuff left out of each. I think approaching 4&5 as one monster mega-novel would make the big picture clearer.

I just read all of them in line within about a month so I did not ned to use some reading plan between Feast for Crows and Dance with Dragons.

Now I will know what a bitch it is to be a Song of Ice and Fire fan as I wait and wait for Martin to get Winds of Winter out.

I seriously doubt he's dead. As he is most likely Ice of the title and Dany being Fire of coarse.

Best minor charachter is Bronn. Love how he kills the Knight in the Joust by lancing the horse in the chest and then shoving a knife through the Knights eye as he was traped by his dying horse.

Just started book 1. It's fantastic. I have seen quite a few of the episodes but I wanted to read the books anyway.

I'm now a little ways into the third book and have recently surpassed the show. As I get further into the books it seems that the show has stuck less and less to the story line but I realize cramming a thousand pages into a 10 episode season is probably tough.

These seem especially tough to read on the Kindle because it's a 4 book series split into percentiles w/ no page numbers. Plus, the map sucks. I find this the most frustrating thing about Kindle.
