Homeland
On Showtime. About an American POW, suspected of being turned during 8 years in captivity. Claire Danes plays a possibly crazy CIA agent who was tipped off about him.
Heavy, but I think it's an awesome show.

Not a single person watches this show? Am I the only one who got Showtime on a deal with my cable package?

Re: Homeland
I thought about watching it and it's getting some good reviews but honestly, there's just too much good stuff to watch...I consciously chose to not watch it.
Re: Homeland
Shape, I say this with some reservation for fear of over hyping the show, but I put it on par with Boardwalk Empire in terms of quality. It's a completely different type of show, but it is great television.
I mentioned that alternative to The Volcano. Would I steer you wrong? It is legitimately addicting though.

Re: Homeland
I have not forgotten your recommendation...okay, I'll take a look. It comes on after Dexter and the wife and I watch that. She's not into Boardwalk...what a cunt.
Re: Homeland
She's not into Boardwalk? Trial separation?
Now I'm nervous that Homeland won't live up to expectations.

Re: Homeland
Homeland is very good, I caught up on demand last week and just remembered there was a new one last night. I'm interested to see how long they can go on the premise.

Re: Homeland
I've wondered that too.
I feel like a massive twist is coming that will leave everyone shocked and confused.

Nigglemen,
Your thoughts thus far?
I have a couple of working theories that I think could be in play for the story line, but I expect a major WTF moment coming up. More twists and turns than The Shield or SOA has.

SHAPE, DID YOU WATCH THE SHOW?
IF YOU DID, WHAT DID YOU THINK? DID YOU START FROM THE BEGINNING AND CATCH UP? OR JUST JUMP IN HOPING TO SEE SOME BOOBS?

Re: Homeland
Show some pics of this chick if you want to get some interest baf. And she better not look like one of the hairy unwashed chicks you were trying to mack on at the Occupy protests the other day.

Re: Homeland
You found me out Turd. I was hoping nobody would find out about me getting shot down by a dusty chick with more hair on her legs than I have.
That is why I'm going back though...
A couple shots of boobs have been seen on this show. But it's rad, even without the boobs. Kind of awkward with the boob scenes to be honest, but I have no complaints.

With the polygraph episode, I think they're head-faking us on Saul's first results. If they make Saul a freaking terrorist I'm going to be pissed.

Re: Homeland
Brother not yet...got the wife talked into it though. We almost started to watch it on Sunday but decided to do some buttfuckin' instead. We'll definitely start it. The only sorta downside is a friend of ours bears a remarkable resemblence to Claire Danes which freaks us both out a bit.baffled wrote:SHAPE, DID YOU WATCH THE SHOW?

Re: Homeland
Eric,
Agreed. I have felt like a serious misdirection play is coming up. They're doing a really good job of teasing the plot.
Shape,
I understand, a little b f'n can get in the way of lots of stuff.
By sorta downside, do you mean the awesome thing is that a friend of yours resembles Claire Danes?

Re: Homeland
We absolutely love the husband...awesomely sweet, kind fellow. She on the other hand is a sexy chick but totally fucking insane and she torments him. I have told him directly if he wants to kick her ass to the kerb we are all solidly behind him...no pussy no matter how good it is, is worth putting up with the shit he has to put up with.
Re: Homeland
I figured out why they're still together. Not worth it, but each time you figure that part out.... the sexin' happens and you're stuck again.Shapecharge wrote:We absolutely love the husband...awesomely sweet, kind fellow. Re: Homeland
Alright my horny brothers. Three episodes in. Wife and I watched them back-to-back. We are hooked. If I didn't have to work tomorrow I would have watched them all. Sorry to see they sexy girl get capped in the alley.
Re: Homeland
Noice. I'm glad you liked it. I was afraid I'd over hyped the show.
And yes, I thought the worst part of the show as that girl getting offed.

Re: Homeland
We're gonna try to catch up tonight. I thought the acting on everyone's part was superb. The daughter was initially irritating me but then when she busted her mom's ass for fucking her dad's best friend I was alright with her. I love displays of loyalty.
Re: Homeland
I thought the same thing about the daughter. She was the only character that bugged me until I realized that teenagers in general piss me off whether on TV or in real life. She did call her mom out like a champ though.
I also think Mandy Patinkin's character is perfect. I usually think he's a bit melodramatic, but I think that he's perfect for his character.
Showtime has done a good job with their shows the last couple years. I think this one takes the cake so far. The Borgias a close second though.

Re: Homeland
I really dug a show on Showtime called "Brotherhood." But sadly they let it go a couple of years ago. It was an Irish mob kinda drama based in Rhode Island. One brother mobbed up the other a member of the state legislature. I actually thought it was a bit more visceral and real than the Sopranos but I may be in the minority there.
Re: Homeland
The one with the guy from Chicago Code (a pretty good show that got scrapped last year)?
I'll have to find a way to check that out. I like Irish mob stuff. Italian Mafia gets all the movie attention. Give a little screen time to we alcoholic Micks.

Good show. I thought this week's episode was great. They showed a sneak peak of next week and it looks even better.
